RDL Joinery is a Sheffield based company that has, over the years, built up an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and efficiency in all of their joinery work.
With over 10 years experience in all aspects of joinery, from bespoke kitchens and specialist wood floors to custom built staircases and a variety of internal and external doors. They have moved with the times to give their customers the latest products and techniques.
Although always very busy, RDL Joinery was looking to expand in the future and wanted to make sure that the business kept rolling in on a regular basis. They needed a website that could show off their work so far and highlight the joinery work that they do best.
When RDL got in touch with us it was quite clear that they needed a brochure style site with some additional extras. They needed a gallery feature, an interactive Twitter feed and a map to show the areas covered. They also needed a new look for the business and requested a modern logo to go with their website.
The Solution
Initially we wanted to create a new brand image for RDL Joinery, colour schemes were discussed and we came up with a modern lime and grey text based logo which gave us the base for the whole website.
The next step was to create pages to show potential customers exactly what RDL Joinery are all about and what services they provide. This was done in brief on the Home Page but then expanded upon for the About and Services pages. Some gorgeous photography really lifts this website and makes it look very professional along with a Twitter feed to keep everyone up to date.
One thing that most potential customers do is to take a look at any previous work that a business has undertaken. RDL certainly has plenty of photos that needed displaying in an easy to use gallery, with the zoom of the lightbox feature you can clearly see images close up when clicked on.
The contact page has all of the usual details for telephone, email, address and also has a submission form for customers to request a call back. However RDL needed to show that they have set areas to cover so we provided a map with a shaded shape to show these areas clearly.
